Gateway United have assured the club’s supporters that the team will bounce back stronger in the second half of the season.

The Abeokuta-based club recorded two wins, one draw, and seven defeats in the first half of the league campaign.

Gateway United finished bottom of Group B with seven points.

Festus Allen’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat in their final game of the first half against Abubakar Bukola Sarki, ABS FC in Ilorin on Saturday.

“First half of the season complete. We’ll be back stronger in the second stanza. Thank you for your support,” Gateway United wrote on their Facebook page.

The second half of the season will commence later this month.
