The Liverpool forward died tragically in Spain on Wednesday night.

DAILY POST reported that Jota, died in a car accident in Spain as the 28-year-old was travelling in a vehicle with his brother, Andre Silva.

The incident came less than two weeks after Jota married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso.

Daily Mail had reported that the car went off the road on the A-52 in the province of Zamora

De Gea reacted to the incident with a five-word message on Instagram

“Sometimes life is very cruel,” he wrote.
