Real Madrid are ready to block the Brazil national team from appointing Carlo Ancelotti as their new head coach.

Ancelotti’s future with the LaLiga champions remains uncertain, after they were eliminated from the Champions League by Arsenal.

Los Blancos also lost the Copa del Rey final to Barcelona last weekend. They also trail the Catalans in the league.

Last week, there were reports that Ancelotti had agreed to take over the Selecao ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

But according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, on X on Wednesday, “Real Madrid are currently blocking Carlo Ancelotti’s move to the Brazilian national team.

“The verbal agreement has been in place for two days. Brazil expected Carlo to sign, but Real were still not informed directly.

“Real do NOT want to pay any exit fee for Ancelotti’s salary.”
