LaLiga: Mbappe to take penalities for Real Madrid this season

Real Madrid forward, Kylian Mbappé will take the penalties for the Los Blancos this season.

According to Marca, the choice to use Mbappé as a penalty taker reflects his status as a cornerstone of Real Madrid’s attack under their manager Xabi Alonso.

Mbappe scored 44 goals last season and won the Pichichi and Golden Boot awards.

With number 10 on his back, the France international is now positioned as the leader of Madrid’s attack, ahead of Vinicius.

Mbappe was the penalty taker during his time at Monaco and PSG, and he is currently the penalty taker for the French national team.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid manager, Xabi Alonso had said that he would make a decision on which player will be the team’s penalty taker under his tenure.

Alonso replaced Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid’s new manager after the Italian left Real Madrid to take over the coaching job of the national football team of Brazil.

However, the new La Liga season will start on Friday 15, 2025 and Real Madrid will face Osasuna on 19 August.
