LaLiga: Ancelotti confirms Real Madrid’s decision on Vinicius’s red card vs Valencia

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has insisted that Vinicius Jr’s red card against Valencia in a rescheduled LaLiga game on Friday night was a wrong decision.

Ancelotti, speaking after the 2-1 win, confirmed the club will appeal the sending off.

According to him, Valencia’s goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski pushed Vinicius and the Brazilian only retaliated.

“It was not a red card for Vinicius Jr. We will appeal,” Ancelotti said.

“The goalkeeper pushed him and Vini responded.

“It should’ve been a yellow for both and that’s it.”

Hugo Duro gave Valencia the lead, before Luka Modrid and Jude Bellingham struck late to take all three points at the Mestalla.
