‘It’s an honour’ — Olusegun reacts to maiden Super Eagles invitation
Olakunle Olusegun is full of excitement following his maiden invitation to the Super Eagles, DAILY POST reports.
The 23-year-old was handed a late invitation by head coach Eric Chelle for the upcoming international friendly against Russia, following the withdrawal of some regular stars due injuries and personal reasons.
Olusegun enjoyed a fine season with Russian outfit, Krasnodar, helping the club win the League title.
The striker was part of the Super Eagles training on Tuesday night in Moscow.
The former Golden Eaglets player said getting the chance to play for the Super Eagles is a dream come true for him.
“What every player want is to play for their national team,”he told the Super Eagles media.
“So finding myself now in the Super Eagles, it’s a privilege, and it’s an honour for me because it’s not by my power or how I play.”
