Guardiola’s wife breaks silence on divorce after 30 years of marriage

Pep Guardiola’s wife, Cristina Serra, has spoken for the first time, since news broke that her marriage to the Manchester City manager has hit the rocks.

Cristina has now insisted that she is “feeling great”.

The Brazilian was spotted in Barcelona shopping alone, a week after her split from Guardiola became public.

She smiled as a Spanish reporter approached her in the city centre.

When asked how she was doing, Cristina replied: “Perfecta, gracias” – “Perfect, thanks” in English.

The mother of three then added: “Everything’s fine”, when quizzed about her state of mind.

However, she remained silent, when directly asked about the cause of their split.

There are speculations that Guardiola’s decision to stay in Manchester and sign a two-year contract extension with his club is the major reason.

The couple met in 1994 and married in 2014.

It is understood that Guardiola and Cristina continue to have a cordial and affectionate relationship and they have not split because of a third person.
