Turkish football pundit, Mehmet Demirkol, has insisted that Galatasaray faces serious problems without their top striker Victor Osimhen in the team.

Demirkol said this while speaking on the importance of the Nigeria international in Galatasaray’s squad.

Osimhen is currently recovery from an ankle ligament injury he sustained while on international duty with the Super Eagles.

The 26-year-old could feature against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on Thursday after missing Galatasaray’s last Super Lig tie.

Speaking on the Socrates Magazine YouTube channel, Demirkol said as quoted by habersarikirmizi:

“When Galatasaray doesn’t have both Osimhen and Barış Alper, it is a problem.

“Serious problems arise during starts and pressures. You need to play something else.”

Meanwhile, Galatasaray manager, Okan Buruk has already provided the latest update on Osimhen’s condition ahead of his side’s UEFA Champions League tie with Frankfurt on Thursday.
