Fernandes names right manager to coach Man Utd after failing to win Europa League
Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes has named the “right manager” to coach the club after failing to win the UEFA Europa League.
Recall that Fernandes was unable to save Man United as they were defeated 1-0 in the Europa League final at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
Brennan Johnson’s first half goal gave Spurs the victory against the Red Devils in Bilbao.
Following the match, Man United manager Ruben Amorim insisted that said he will leave the Old Trafford if the club’s hierarchy decide to sack him.
However, Fernandes insisted that that his fellow countryman is the right manager to manage United.
The Portugal midfielder backed United to stick with Amorim, despite the team’s woeful run of results since he replaced Erik ten Hag last November.
“It’s not my decision, I think Ruben Amorim is the right person,” Fernandes told the media after Man United’s defeat to Tottenham.
“I know it is difficult to understand, but I still believe he is the right coach.
“The club is in a situation where it is easy to have a new coach because the results have not been there. But I think he is the right man,” he stated.
