Expect different ball game next season – Colwill to Chelsea’s UCL, EPL opponents
Chelsea defender, Levi Colwill has warned the Blues opponents for next season’s Premier League that it would be a totally different ball game.
He said the Blues were ready to win the Premier League and Champions League trophies come next season.
He gave the warning after helping the Blues beat Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday.
The English defender featured five times for the Blues in the competition, contributing to Enzo Maresca’s side winning the first edition of the revamped edition of the competition.
Colwill told the BBC that he expects the west London side to compete for the biggest titles in the 2025-26 season.
“I said at the start of this tournament that our plan was to win it and people looked at me as if I was crazy.
“So I’m going to say the exact same thing now going into the Premier League and Champions League. […] I think we’re ready and we’ll see next season.”
Chelsea shocked the football world when they beat European champions, Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 to lift the Club World Cup in the US.
