Europa League: They’re in right place – Owen Hargreaves predicts team to win trophy

Former Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves has backed Erik ten Hag’s side to win the UEFA Europa League this season.

The former England international believes the Red Devils are in the right place to win another trophy this season after not impressing in both the Champions League and Premier League last term.

This season’s Europa League will start on Wednesday.

Man United will host Twente at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

“I think when you are in the Champions League and you are not at the level of the other teams you get found out real quick,” Hargreaves told Metro UK.

“Last year was quite disappointing, the issues that they had in the Champions League but I think winning the Europa League is super realistic for them with the squad that they have and I wouldn’t put it past them.

“So I think for United right now, they are probably in the right place where they can actually go and win that competition.”
