Europa League: Dessers powers Rangers past Mourinho’s Fenerbahce

Cyriel Dessers registered a goal and an assist as Rangers defeated José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe 3-1 on Thursday night.

Dessers opened the scoring for Rangers in the sixth minute.

The Nigerian rounded the Fenerbahçe goalkeeper before firing the ball into the net.

Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku equalised for Fenerbahçe on the half-hour mark.

Dessers set up Václav Černý for Rangers’ second goal three minutes before the break.

The forward had a goal chalked off for offside early in the second half.

Černý netted his second goal of the game nine minutes from time.
