EPL: You can’t win anything with current squad – Ian Wright tells Arsenal

Former Arsenal man, Ian Wright, has said the squad available to Mikel Arteta is not robust to win trophies.

The former England international advised the Gunners to make the most of the forthcoming summer transfer window

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Wright noted that the season has been a difficult one for Arteta and his boys.

He said a club that wants to win the Premier League and Champions League should be willing to get the necessary firepower.

“They want to win the Premier League. They want to win the Champions League,” he said.

“The squad is no where near deep enough to go into those competitions with the confidence of winning them,” he said.

Arsenal are said to be in the market for a striker, a defensive midfielder, and a winger this summer.

The Gunners have secured a second place finish this season behind Liverpool who have already been crownd champions.
