EPL: Wayne Rooney predicts title winners, top four places

Former Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney, has done his predictions for the 2025/2026 Premier League season.

Speaking on BBC Sport’s Match of the Day, Rooney picked Liverpool to win the title for the second consecutive season.

The Anfield club won it last campaign, finishing 10 points ahead of Arsenal.

Rooney expects the Gunners to finish as runners-up again, while the top four will be completed by Manchester City and Chelsea.

According to him, United will improve their 15th place finish last term and end up in fifth position.

“I still think they need one or two more signings,” Rooney said about United.

“But I can see what Amorim is doing. It is looking for better for United. I think they can sneak into the top five.”
