EPL: Wayne Rooney names top five best players this season

Former Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney has named his top five best players in the English Premier League, EPL, this season.

The 2024/25 Premier League will end in May this year as there are currently five matches left to conclude the campaign.

Liverpool are clear favourite to win the Premier League title ahead of Arsenal.

However, when asked to name his top-five players this season, Rooney named the likes of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer in his list.

“In fifth place, I think I will probably go with Bruno Fernandes.Obviously Man United have not had a great season but he is been the one consistent player who keeps producing so I will go with Bruno for number five,” Rooney told Amazon Prime.

“In fourth place, I would d probably go with Morgan Gibbs-White. I think he is had a fantastic season for Nottingham Forest.

“In third place, I would d go with Cole Palmer. I know of late he has not scored the goals he did at the start of the season, but I still think he is been really influential for Chelsea this season.

“In second place, I would go with Isak from Newcastle. I think his all-round play, his goals, obviously scoring the goal in the final.

“My number one pick would be Mo Salah. I think over the last few years his performances has been excellent and this season again it looks like he is going to spearhead Liverpool to the title.”
