EPL tops as UEFA ranks best leagues in Europe [Full list]

UEFA have ranked the best leagues in Europe as the 2025/26 season starts this August.

In a post via UEFA’s website, the Premier League is the highest-ranked league in Europe based on their five-season club coefficient ranking.

The English top-flight league holds the first place ahead of second position Italy’s Serie A as of today.

Behind Serie A are LaLiga (Spain), Bundesliga (Germany) and French Ligue 1 (France) in the top five positions.

UEFA rankings are based by the performance of the clubs from evey country in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League for the last five seasons.

3. Spain
4. Germany
5. France
6. Netherlands
7. Portugal
8. Belgium
9. Turkey
10. Czechia
11. Greece
12. Norway
13. Poland
14. Denmark
15. Austria
16. Switzerland
17. Scotland
18. Sweden
19. Cyprus
20. Israel
