EPL: Merson names three teams with ability to win season title

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has named the three teams that have the “togetherness” to win the Premier League title this season.

Merson was reviewing the 2-2 draw between Manchester City and Arsenal for Sky Sports.

According to him, that result proved that the Gunners will be fighting to win their first title in 21 years.

Merson also included Liverpool, now coached by Arne Slot, as another team that will be in the mix.

He said: “Arsenal have a togetherness and you have to have a togetherness to win leagues. They have got that in abundance and so do Manchester City.

“I think Liverpool has it as well but – and I don’t want to pick on one team – I don’t see that at Manchester United, for example.

“It’s what you need to win league trophies, and Arsenal are firmly in the running this season.”
