EPL: His movement is superb, so intelligent – Pat Nevin warns Chelsea of dangerous Chris Wood
Ahead of their final game of the 2024-25 Premier League season against Nottingham Forest, former Chelsea star, Pat Nevin, has warned the Blues to be wary of Chris Wood.
Nevin believes that the Forest striker poses a great threat in the crucial Premier League match.
The former Chelsea man fears that the Blues’ defense may not be able to shut Wood down.
Wood has scored 20 goals in 35 Premier League games for Forest this term, and could cause problems for the Blues on Sunday.
Nevin sees Chelsea’s backline as a problem heading into the all-important encounter.
He said as quoted by Chelsea Chronicle. “Anthony Elanga and Chris Wood, they are good players who are hard to deal with.
“Colwill is a little older now, but he will need all the experience in the world to keep Wood quiet.
“Wood has had a brilliant season. His movement is superb and he’s so intelligent. If Chelsea can keep Wood from scoring, I think Chelsea will win.”
Going into the game, Enzo Maresca’s side are on 66 points and fifth, one point above Forest as both clubs chase Champions League football next season.
