EPL: He’s an upgrade on Jackson – Redknapp on Chelsea target Delap
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp has insisted that Chelsea target Liam Delap is an upgrade on Nicolas Jackson.
Redknapp said this while backing Chelsea to beat the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United to the Ipswich Town striker’s signature.
Delap, 22, has enjoyed a decent first season in the Premier League.
He has netted 12 Premier League goals for Ipswich Town this season.
He has been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.
“I have heard that Chelsea are quite hot on Liam Delap – I could see him going to Stamford Bridge this summer,” Redknapp told BetVictor.
“I also wonder if Arsenal would take a chance on him too because they are also looking for a striker.
“I would say Delap is an upgrade on Nicolas Jackson if Chelsea were to move for him.”
