Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has described Arsenal’s Riccardo Calafiori as a ‘monster’ in football.

Bent said the Italian defender, who joined the Gunners in the summer, is a brilliant player.

The Premier League North London club signed Calafiori from Bologna during the summer transfer window.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Bent said: “When he has played for Arsenal, he has been brilliant. Yeah, he has.

“Defensively, one-v-one battles, can play left side of centre-half, can play left-back, comfortable in possession. And he was good against PSG as well. He is a monster.”
