Former Chelsea star, Chris Sutton, has taken a dig at Manchester United defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Sutton said the Dutchman looks clunky at the moment.

According to him, De Ligt was agile and mobile when he was with Ajax in the Eredivisie.

“[He’s] been in the gym too much. I mean, most people need to get in the gym,” Sutton was on the It’s All Kicking Off podcast.

“When he was at Ajax and he came to the fore, not only was he strong, but he was agile, he was mobile. He just looks clunky, doesn’t he?”

De Ligt joined Man United from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
