EPL: He allowed time-wasting events – Bernardo Silva slams referee Oliver

Manchester City midfielder, Bernardo Silva has slammed referee Michael Oliver following his side’s Premier League 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Sunday.

Silva claimed that Oliver allowed a sequence of time-wasting events during the encounter at the Etihad Stadium.

Goals from Erling Haaland, Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Magalhães and John Stones ensured both teams shared a point each.

Arsenal was reduced to 10 men during the encounter after Leandro Trossard’s red card.

“The referee allowed a sequence of time-wasting events. The thing that bothers me most is having a lot of meetings with the FA,” Silva was quoted by Fabrizio Romano as saying.

“They tell us they will control this kind of situation and will stop them, but in the end, it doesn’t have any worth.”
