EPL: Guardiola confirms key player to miss West Ham clash

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has confirmed that top defender, Ruben Dias will miss his side’s Premier League clash with West Ham United on Saturday evening.

Guardiola also provided the latest update on midfielder Rodri, who is currently recovery from a long-term knee injury.

“[Ruben] is getting better but is not ready for tomorrow [Saturday] and yesterday Eddy [Ederson] trained better,” Guardiola said at his pre-match interview.

“It was the first training session without disturbance in his leg.”

On Rodri, Guardiola added, “I hope so [he return soon]. It is important he recovers well.

“If at the end of the season will be good. The target is recovery well to be ready at the end of the season. This is the target.”

Man City head to the West Ham game following a 2-0 win against Leicester City in their previous encounter.
