EPL: Arteta gives Arsenal injury updates ahead Southampton clash

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said both Jurrien Timber and Ben White could feature in their Premier League clash against Southampton.

Timber was taken off during half time of their 2-0 win over PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday.

White was not in the squad for the game as he is struggling with injury.

Speaking to reporters on Friday ahead of the visit of the Saints, Arteta said: “We had to modify training for our players [on Thursday].

“We’ve done the same today because of the load they had.

“There’s a decision to make this afternoon, whether to involve them or not.

“They are close, [Takehiro] Tomiyasu as well is close too. It’s good news.”
