Club World Cup: Thibaut Courtois lists areas Real Madrid need improvement

Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has listed three areas the Los Blancos need to improve following their FIFA Club World Cup 1-1 draw with Al Hilal on Wednesday.

Recall that two goals from Gonzalo Garcia and Ruben Neves ensured both Real Madrid and Al Hilal drew at the Hard Rock Stadium, USA.

The goal Real Madrid conceded was a penalty which Neves converted.

Courtois insisted that the Los Blancos committed a stupid penalty against the Saudi Arabia club.

The Belgian added that Xabi Alonso’s side need to improve on their patience, keep possession and stop rushing against opponents.

“We committed a stupid penalty. We need to be more patient,” Courtois, a former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid goalkeeper said after the game (via Madrid Zone).

“We need to start keeping possession, and stop rushing.”

Real Madrid’s next game in the FIFA Club World Cup is against Pachuca on Sunday.
