Club World Cup: They’re very important – Alonso singles out two Real Madrid players
Real Madrid boss, Xabi Alonso has singled out Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold following his side’s FIFA Club World Cup 1-1 draw against Al Hilal on Wednesday.
Alonso suggested that the pair are very important for Real Madrid going forward.
The Spaniard, however, congratulated them for making their debut for the Los Blancos.
Recall that both players had joined Real Madrid this summer from Liverpool and Bournemouth, respectively.
Speaking after Real Madrid’s draw with Al Hilal, Alonso said at his post-match interview: “I want to congratulate Dean and Trent for their debut, this is a special day for them, and they’ll be very important for us.”
He added, “Raul Asencio really struggled with the heat, that is why he was subbed off.”
Real Madrid’s next game in the Club World Cup is against Pachuca on Sunday.
