Club World Cup: PSG, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Fluminense in epic battle for final

The stage is set for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup semi-final fixtures taking place in the United States of America.

DAILY POST reports that the likes of Chelsea, Fluminense, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are all in the semi-final stage.

The last-4 is expected to be an epic battle for the four teams, as only two will advance to the Club World Cup final on Sunday.

The Club World Cup final will take place at the MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, United States.

However, here are the fixtures for the Club World Cup semi-final matches:

Fluminense vs Chelsea:

This semi-final match will take place on Tuesday night by 8 pm, Nigerian time.

Both teams head to the encounter after beating Al Hilal and Palmeiras, respectively.

Fluminense won 2-1 against Al Hilal, while Chelsea defeated Palmeiras 2-1 in the quarter-final stage.

Both teams are expected to put in a strong performance as only one team will progress to the final.

PSG vs Real Madrid:

This semi-final match will take place on Wednesday night by 8 p.m, Nigerian time.

Both teams head to the encounter after beating Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, respectively.

PSG won 2-0 against Bayern, while Real Madrid defeated Borussia Dortmund 3-2 in the quarter-final stage.

Speaking with DAILY POST on Monday, Saheed Afolabi, who works at Clear TV, gave his thoughts on the Club World Cup semi-final fixtures.

He also tipped Fluminense to beat Chelsea and qualify for the final, while Real Madrid will beat PSG and progress to the final.

“Honestly, the last four teams in the Club World Cup semi-final stage really earned their place in a satisfactory way,” Afolabi told DAILY POST.

“The Brazilian side, Fluminense has actually achieved what other teams could not achieve and they really proved doubters wrong.

“For them knocking out Saudi Arabia giants, Al Hilal shows that they are more disciplined and have the courage to go all the way to the final.

“They will be playing against Chelsea, an European side and Fluminense is led by former Chelsea player, Thiago Silva.

“I believe it is a game to watch. Many people will tip Chelsea to beat Fluminense. Fluminense is the underdogs.

“The match can go either way. Fluminense have Brazilian players with flair in their team. But the match will be tough and I am tipping Fluminense to beat Chelsea and qualify for the final.

“Then the second semi-final, the crack of champions. PSG versus Real Madrid. PSG just won the UEFA Champions League and they are in the form of their life.

“They can only shock the Spanish giants. But if you look at Real Madrid, you know that they are a specialist when it comes to cup competitions.

“A win for Real Madrid could take them to winning the competition. You know that they also have a new manager, Xabi Alonso who will want to prove himself.

“Any team that wins between PSG and Real Madrid will go on and win the Club World Cup. I am expecting a cracker between PSG and Real Madrid.

“But I am tipping Real Madrid to beat PSG. I don’t want an all European final, I want a South American and a European side in the final. So I am tipping Fluminense and Real Madrid in the Club World Cup final,” he said.
