Real Madrid manager, Xabi Alonso has urged the Los Blancos to build a team that plays together as a “unit and in every phase.”
Alonso spoke at his post-match interview after Real Madrid’s 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup semi-final tie on Wednesday night.
DAILY POST recalls that Fabian Ruiz’s brace and a goal each from Ousmane Dembele and Goncalo Ramos gave the Luis Enrique’s side the victory against the LaLiga giants.
“We need to build a team,” Alonso said after the game at the MetLife Stadium.
“A team that plays together as a unit, in every phase. “That’s the goal,” he added.
The defeat against PSG means Alonso’s side are now out from the competition in the United States.
Real Madrid will now turn their focus to the pre-season ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 season.
