Club World Cup 2025: 5 teams eliminated from tournament
Ulsan HD became the latest team to be sent packing from the 2025 Club World Cup.
The K 1 League side suffered a 4-2 defeat to Fluminense in their second group game in the competition.
They needed a win to keep their hopes of qualifying alive after they had lost to Mamelodi Sundowns in their opener.
The Horangi found themselves 2-1 up, and Um Won-sang missed a fantastic chance to make it 3-1.
It proved costly, as they succumbed to late goals, which ultimately condemned them to an early exit from the competition.
Urawa Red Diamonds came within 20 minutes to remaining in the tournament after holding on to a 1-0 lead against Inter Milan.
But Lautaro Martinez and Valentin Carboni scored for the Serie A giants to turn the game around.
Other teams that have been eliminated so far are Auckland City FC, Los Angeles FC and Seattle Sounders.
