Chelsea’s Pedro asks Fluminense fans to forgive him after scoring against them

Chelsea forward Joao Pedro asked Fluminense fans to forgive him after scoring against them in the Club World Cup semi-final tie on Tuesday.

The Brazilian opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 18 minutes of the encounter before raising his hands up to plead for forgiveness.

Fluminense was Pedro’s boyhood club. He started his senior career there in 2019. He ended up leaving the Brazilian side to join Watford in 2020. He eventually left Watford in 2023 to join Premier League side Brighton, and after two years he joined Enzo Maresca’s side this summer.
