The Remo Star player said this while insisting hope Eric Chelle’s side will make Nigerians proud just as the D’Tigress and Super Falcons did.
DAILY POST reports that the D’Tigress recently won the AfroBasket title after beating Mali in the final played at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Also, the Super Falcons recently beat Morocco 3-2 in the WAFCON final to lift the title.
Speaking to the media at his pre-match interview in Zanzibar on Monday, Nduka said: “To our fellow Nigerians, I know the expectations are high because we’ve been doing well in sports and we’ll try our best not to let them down.
“Our female team [Super Falcons] has just won the WAFCON and our women team [D’Tigress] just won the basketball title. It is a good record for the country and we hope to consolidate on that.”
