CHAN 2025 qualifier: Eguavoen positive of good outing against Ghana

Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has said the team will fight hard to secure a place at the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Nigeria will battle eternal rivals, Ghana for place in the competition set aside for footballers plying their trade in their country’s domestic League.
Ghana have stopped the home-Eagles from qualifying for the CHAN twice in the past (2009 and 2022).
Eguavoen is however hopeful the outcome will be different this time around.
“Any category in which we meet the Ghanaian team is always very tough. All we pray for is luck,” Eguavoen told NFF TV.
“For the game, we will go out there and work hard and develop strategies to ensure we are in the next CHAN.”
The two-legged contest will hold in December. The overall winners will earn a berth at the CHAN 2025 to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
