CHAN 2024: CAF names venue for home – Eagles group matches
The home-based Super Eagles will play their group stage matches at the 2024 African Nations Championship at the Amaan Stadium, Zanzibar , DAILY POST reports.
The 15,000 capacity Amaan Stadium hosted the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup final in May.
Zanzibar is a semi- autonomous region within Tanzania.
The home Eagles are drawn in Group D with defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo.
CAF released the designated venues for the competition on Thursday.
The biennial competition will be hosted by three countries, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
The CHAN is designed for players plying their trade in their countries’ domestic leagues.
CHAN 2024 finals will run from 2 August to 30 August.
