Nigeria defender Semi Ajayi has expressed his delight after linking up with Sky Bet Championship side Hull City.

Ajayi’s move to the Tigers was made official on Thursday.

The 31-year-old put pen to paper on two-year contract, arriving on a free transfer.

The centre-back was released by the West Bromwich Albion last month.

Ajayi said Hull City’s vision inspired him to move to the club.

“I’m really excited. I spoke to the sporting director (Jared Dublin) and head of recruitment (Martin Hodge), and they sold me on the vision of the club and the plans for this season,” he told the club’s official website.

The Arsenal Academy graduate spent six years at West Brom.

He was part of the team that gained promotion to the Premier League in the 2019/20 season.
