UEFA has introduced a major change to the Champions League final starting from this season.

The European football governing body wants to make its flagship event in club competition as accessible to as many supporters as possible.

And the organization has taken into account fans that will be attending in person and a global television audience that extends into hundreds of millions.

UEFA has now decided that the final, starting from the 2025/2026 season, will kick off at 6:00 pm local time.

This year’s final will be played at the iconic Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary.

The 2024/2025 final between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan kicked off at 9:00 pm local time.

UEFA has further explained that it is looking to “enhance the overall matchday experience” and eradicate logistical challenges that have posed problems in the past.
