Champions League: Guardiola names Real Madrid player that troubled Man City

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has confessed that his team could not handle Kylian Mbappe in their Champions League playoffs.

Mbappe scored at the Etihad as Los Blancos took a 3-2 lead from the first leg.

In the second leg on Wednesday night, the former PSG forward netted a sensational hat-trick to send Guardiola’s men out.

Guardiola has now said Madrid were the better side, but singled out the movement from Mbappe as the difference.

“We couldn’t defend well with the movement from Mbappé and it was more difficult,” Guardiola said.

“The best team won, they deserve it.

“I have the feeling we were better than Real in the previous three seasons, but this time they were better. They deserve it. What we have to do is accept it and move forward.”
