CAF Confederation Cup: Enyimba midfielder Akanni declares war on Etoile Filante
Enyimba midfielder Elijah Akanni has revealed the team’s target ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round reverse leg tie against Etoile Filante.
Akanni stated that the aim is to score goals in the game.
He added that the objective of the team is to reach the group stage of the competition.
Enyimba will host the Burkinabes at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday.
The People’s Elephant held Etoile Filante to a goalless draw in the first leg last Friday.
“We need to score to qualify. We are looking at scoring as many goals as we can,” Akanni told BSN Sport.
“Our expectations are high. We want to get to the money-spinning stage and the very best of the Enyimba they know. By God’s grace, we believe we will achieve it.”
