Enyimba midfielder Daniel Daga is optimistic the club will secure a place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.

The People’s Elephant will host Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso in the second leg of their second preliminary round tie at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday.

Yemi Olanrewaju’s side held their hosts to a 0-9 draw in the first leg.

Daga is upbeat they will get the job this time around.

“Our resolve is to win and advance to the group stages,” Daga told the club’s official website.

“We understand they are a difficult opponent, but we have just one task, which is to win, and that’s exactly what we are going to do.

“We know the importance of this game, and we are ready to give our all.

“We want to make Nigeria proud and show that we are a force to be reckoned with in African football.”
