Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions Remo Stars will take on Comoros side US Zilimadjou in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

The draw for the competition took place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Saturday.

Remo Stars will host the first leg at their home ground in Ikenne in September.

The winner will face Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in the second preliminary round.

Nigeria’s other representative in the competition, Rivers United, will take on yet to be determined Congo Democratic Republic champions in the first preliminary round.

The winner will do battle with AC Leopards of Congo or Black Bulls of Mozambique in the second preliminary round.
