Bundesliga: Hoffenheim deserved draw against Stuttgart – Akpoguma

Kevin Akpoguma has said Hoffenheim deserved to earn a share of the spoils in Sunday night’s Bundesliga clash with VFB Stuttgart.

The Village club held their hosts to a 1-1 draw in their league clash.

Nick Woltemade gave Stuttgart the lead in the ninth minute.

Akpoguma’s compatriot, Gift Orban equalised for Hoffenheim 16 minutes from time.

“It was a deserved point. Stuttgart were better in the first half, but in the second half we had more passion and more energy. We earned the goal through good pressing.

“We even had a chance to win, but the draw is fine. We were asleep when they scored, we need to defend better. Stuttgart has enormous quality in attack,” Akpoguma said.

Hoffenheim will host Bochum in their next game on Saturday.
