Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface is nearing a return to action after spending time on the sidelines as a result of injury.

Boniface sustained a thigh injury while on international duty last November.

The 24-year-old suffered a setback in his recovery process late last year.

Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso has now revealed that the forward could return to action soon.

“Maybe next week, but only maybe. There is still a question mark. He is well on the way to feeling better. After that, he needs training time.”

The Nigeria international has so far scored eight goals in 15 appearances across all competitions for Die Werkself this season.
