Belgium: Arokodare misses out on Player of Season award
Genk striker Tolu Arokodare has missed out on the Player of the Season award in the Belgian Pro League.
Arokodare finished the 2024/25 season as the top scorer but was overlooked by the majority of the voters.
The forward received 24.20% of the votes from coaches and fellow players, finishing in third place.
Club Brugge star Ardon Jashari won the award with 32.33% of the votes, while his teammate Hans Vanaken received 27.79%.
Arokodare went home with the Top Scorer award and the Ebony Boot as the best African player in the Belgian top league this past season.
Genk also missed out on the league title despite a strong showing in the regular season.
