Ballon d’Or: He deserves it – Man City’s Ederson snubs Rodri, names player to win

Manchester City goalkeeper, Ederson, has picked the player he wants to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

Ederson has snubbed his City team-mate, Rodri, who is one of the frontrunners for the prize.

Instead, the 31-year-old prefers his compatriot Vinicius Junior, to be crowned winner on October 28.

Speaking on TNT Sports Brazil, Ederson said, “I am rooting for Vini Jr. to win the Ballon d’Or. I hope he wins it.”

No Brazilian has won the Ballon d’Or since Kaka in 2007.

Vinicius is set to break the South American country’s wait this year.
