Ballon d’Or 2025: Pedro snubs Yamal, Dembele, names player to win award

Lazio winger, Pedro, has snubbed the likes of Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele while naming Pedri as his favourite player to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

The former Chelsea star insisted that he would give the Barcelona midfielder the maximum score to win this year’s Ballon d’Or ahead of others.

Pedri had a remarkable 2024/25 season with Barcelona and has emerged one of the top contenders for the top individual prize.

The Spain international will compete with the likes of Dembele, Yamal, Raphinha, Mohamed Salah and among others for the Ballon d’Or.

Speaking about the player that should win the Ballon d’Or this year, Pedro told El Día de Tenerife (via Barca Blaugranes): “Of course I’d give Pedri the maximum score.

“Then Lamine Yamal. And perhaps other candidates who are there are Dembélé or Raphinha, but I’d love for Pedri to win.

“For me there is no doubt: he’s the best in his position in the entire world.”
