Arsenal defeat AC Milan 1-0 in preseason friendly

Arsenal began their preseason preparations with a 1-0 win over AC Milan in Singapore on Wednesday.

The Gunners were able to include new signings Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arizzabalaga and Christian Norgaard for the game at the National Stadium.

Mikel Arteta’s men dominated the early exchanges looking sharp and well organized.

But Arsenal had to wait until the second half to score, with Bukayo Saka volleying home a cross from substitute Jakub Kiwior.

Reiss Nelson and Leandro Trossard came close to doubling their lead, but Saka’s goal proved to be the difference.

Arsenal will take on Premier League rivals Newcastle in their next preseason friendly on Sunday.
