Akpeyi released by South African club, Marumo Gallants
Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has been released by South African club, Marumo Gallants.
Akpeyi is among the nine players who have departed the Siwelele Sa Marumo ahead of the new season.
The 38-year-old joined Marumo Gallants on a free transfer last summer.
The experienced shot stopper made seven league appearances for the club during the 2024/ 25 season.
It remains to be seen if he will quit football or seek a move elsewhere.
Akpeyi has spent all his professional career in South Africa.
He has previously played for Chippa United, Kaizer Chiefs, and Moroka Swallows.
