Nigeria’s D’Tigers have booked a place in the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2025 FIBA Men’s AfroBasket after a thrilling 101-92 victory over Cameroon.

Mohammed Abdulrahman’s side finished top of Group B following earlier wins against Madagascar and defending champions Tunisia.

Cameroon also recorded victories over Tunisia and Madagascar in their opening two games. They will now proceed to the play-offs to confirm their place in the last eight.

Both teams fought hard in the first quarter, with D’Tigers narrowly edging it 28-27.

Nigeria, however, outscored the Cameroonians and led 60-43 at half-time.

D’Tigers extended their lead to 86-55 by the end of the third quarter.

They completed their dominance in the final quarter to seal a 101-92 win.

Nigeria will face the third-placed team in Group A in the quarter-finals.
