Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa has pledged a $150,000 bonus to the Warriors if they beat Nigeria in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Mnangagwa’s pledge was announced in a statement by Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) boss Nqobile Magwizi.

The Warriors are bidding to qualify for the World Cup for the first time.

Michael Nees’ side occupy bottom spot in Group C with two points from four games.

They will host the Cheetahs of Benin Republic at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban on Thursday (today).

Zimbabwe will be away to the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, next week Tuesday.
