2026 WCQ: What I love about Chelle – Super Eagles star, Igoh Ogbu
Super Eagles central defender, Igoh Ogbu has revealed what he likes about head coach Eric Chelle ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda on Friday.
Ogbu said what he loves about Chelle is that he pushes the Super Eagles players to be good footballers.
DAILY POST reports that Chelle handed Ogbu his maiden call-up to the Super Eagles for the two crucial 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
This comes following his outstanding performances for Slavia Prague in the ongoing season.
Speaking to Nigerian reporters in Kigali ahead of the Super Eagles’ clash with Rwanda on Friday evening, Ogbu shared his thoughts on training under Chelle.
“He is a tough gaffer, he pushes us to be good players and that is what I love,” Ogbu said.
Ogbu has scored two goals in twenty league games from his defensive position for Slavia Prague.
He also made appearances in the Champions League qualifiers and Europa League this season.
