Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface, has reacted after a young boy revealed that he sold the Bayer Leverkusen star’s gifted boots to a Rwandan player for $100.

Boniface handed the boots to the boy as a gift after Nigeria’s 2-1 defeat in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kigali.

However, due to financial difficulties, the boy was forced to sell the shoes.

The clip went viral on social media over the weekened, after the Eagles won 2-0 in a 2026 World Cup qualifier in Rwanda.

Reacting to the clip, Boniface commented under Brila FM’s post, jokingly asking people to help him find the boy so he can get a percentage from the sales.

“Abeg, make una find this boy for me. Make he drop 10% of the money ooo,” he said in pidgin English.

[In English, he said “Please, someone should help me find this boy. He should give me 10% of the money.”]
